There are around 140 million internal migrant workers in India who are forced to migrate annually, often along with their families, to work in India`s informal sector. Employed predominantly in the construction & textile industries, these are migrants of necessity, not choice, trying to find better opportunities for themselves & their families.
We are working in 13 states across India together with governments, industry, and other partner organisations to affect change in the lives of these migrant workers, their families, and communities.
To strengthen the delivery systems of priority social security schemes such as One Nation One Ration, and Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) card, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Awas Yojna and MGNREGA, etc.
